Migrate VEE to DUAL: Step-by-Step Guide
The DUAL token is now live, and with it, the next phase of the network begins.
Ahead of the start of trading at 14:00 UTC on Kraken, with trading on Uniswap available independently, VEE holders can begin upgrading their tokens through the Dual Migration Tool.
For existing holders, the migration process is straightforward. The Dual Migration Tool allows you to upgrade your tokens at a 1:2 ratio meaning 1 VEE converts into 2 DUAL, directly from your wallet in a single flow.
This guide walks you through the process step by step.
Token Contracts
For reference, the official token contracts are:
- VEE (Ethereum): 0x340D2bdE5Eb28c1eed91B2f790723E3B160613B7
- DUAL (Ethereum): 0x6aF487BEb661CCeCD1D045E9561A0dAC9AA5c7db
Always ensure you are interacting with the correct contract addresses.
Using the Dual Migration Tool
The migration tool is available ONLY through the official Dual Migration Portal at https://migration.dual.org.
Be aware of scams. Always double check the website address, and that the it came from the right source.
Step 1: Connect Your Wallet
Start by connecting your wallet to the migration portal.
Supported options include:
- Browser Wallet (e.g. MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Base)
- Mobile / Desktop Wallets (WalletConnect)
Once connected, your VEE balance will be displayed automatically.

Step 2: Select the Amount to Migrate
Enter the amount of VEE you want to upgrade.
You can:
- Manually input the amount
- Use quick-select options (25% / 50% / MAX)
The interface will automatically display the amount of DUAL you will receive based on the 1:2 conversion ratio.
Step 3: Confirm and Migrate
Once you’ve selected the amount:
- Click Migrate
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
After confirmation:
- Your VEE will be burned, and the total supply of VEE will be reduced.
- The corresponding amount of DUAL will be issued to the same wallet
The process completes in a single transaction.

Step 4: Add DUAL to Your Wallet (if not visible)
In some cases, your wallet may not automatically display your DUAL balance after migration.
If this happens, you can manually add the token using the official contract address:
- DUAL (Ethereum): 0x6aF487BEb661CCeCD1D045E9561A0dAC9AA5c7db
In wallets like MetaMask or Rabby Wallet:
- Click Import Token
- Paste the contract address
- Confirm to add the token
Once added, your DUAL balance will be visible.
These screenshots illustrate the
process in MetaMask. Your experience may
vary depending on the wallet you are
using.
Migrating from Other Chains (Polygon, Base, Optimism)
If your VEE tokens are currently held on chains such as Polygon, Base or Optimism, an additional step is required before using the migration tool.
Step 1: Bridge VEE to Ethereum
You will need to bridge your VEE tokens to Ethereum mainnet.
Use the official bridges:
- Polygon → Ethereum: https://portal.polygon.technology/bridge
- Base → Ethereum: https://superbridge.app/?fromChainId=8453&toChainId=1&tokenAddress=0xeFc2689D3E79252fBA37E889a1b5aD92cEDC6e4F
- Optimism → Ethereum: https://superbridge.app/?fromChainId=10&toChainId=1&tokenAddress=0xe3C332a5DcE0e1d9bC2cC72A68437790570C28a4
Once bridged, your VEE will be available on Ethereum.
Step 2: Use the Migration Tool
After bridging:
- Connect your wallet on Ethereum
- Follow the standard migration steps outlined above
If your VEE tokens are staked (Ethereum, BLOCKv Mainnet)
For users currently staking on the existing BLOCKv platform, the unstaking fee has been removed to support a smooth transition.
You can now unstake your VEE (https://staking.blockv.io) and migrate at any time using the Dual Migration Tool.
Alternatively, you may choose to wait for the Dual Network Mainnet launch, where staking will be available within the DUAL ecosystem.
What to Expect
- Conversion rate: 1 VEE → 2 DUAL
- Same wallet: DUAL is received in the same wallet used for migration
- Single transaction: No multi-step claiming required
- Secure process: Migration is handled through the official Dual portal
- Migration window: Open until December 31, 2027.
FAQ
What is the conversion ratio?
The migration ratio is 1 VEE to 2 DUAL.
If you migrate 100 VEE, you will receive 200 DUAL.
When does trading begin?
Trading begins at 14:00 UTC on Kraken, with trading on Uniswap available independently.
Do I need to claim DUAL separately after migrating?
No. Once the migration transaction is completed, the corresponding amount of DUAL is issued to the same wallet.
Can I migrate only part of my balance?
Yes. The migration tool allows you to choose how much VEE you want to migrate.
What if my VEE is on Polygon or Base?
If your VEE is on Polygon or Base, you will first need to bridge it to Ethereum using the official bridge for that network.
After that, you can use the Dual Migration Tool on Ethereum.
What if my VEE is on BLOCKv Mainnet?
If your VEE is held on BLOCKv Mainnet, you can bridge your tokens to Ethereum and proceed with the migration using the Dual Migration Tool.
Alternatively, you may choose to wait for the Dual Network Mainnet launch and migrate at a later stage.
Is the migration from VEE to DUAL a new token event or a continuation of the network?
The migration from VEE to DUAL represents a protocol-level upgrade and continuation of the same network, with DUAL replacing VEE as the base asset of the protocol.
The migration itself does not provide additional distributions or separate allocations beyond the defined conversion into DUAL. Features such as staking and governance are introduced separately as part of the next phase of the network.
Does migrating from VEE to DUAL have tax implications?
The migration from VEE to DUAL is a protocol-level upgrade and continuation of the same network, where VEE is replaced by DUAL as the base asset.
The process is designed to migrate existing balances from VEE to DUAL without introducing additional distributions or separate token allocations as part of the upgrade itself.
Tax treatment may vary depending on jurisdiction and individual circumstances. Users should consult their own tax advisors for guidance.
Are staking and governance live immediately?
No. Staking and governance will be introduced next month as part of the next phase of network activation.
At that point, DUAL can be staked into xDUAL, which will represent participation in the network’s economic and governance layer.
What is xDUAL?
xDUAL is the staked form of DUAL. It is designed to represent participation in the network’s staking and governance system once those features go live.
Final Notes
The migration window will remain open until December 31, 2027, allowing holders to migrate their tokens over time.
With trading beginning at 14:00 UTC on Kraken, and trading on Uniswap available independently, the migration ensures…
This transition marks the move to a new economic system designed for the next phase of the network where programmable assets, real-world systems, and applications operate on a shared foundation.
If you hold VEE today, migrating to DUAL ensures your participation in that next phase.
For users ready to upgrade, the process is simple:
Connect your wallet, select the amount, and migrate.
